30 May 2025 13:27

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a meeting with a US delegation led by Joshua Huck, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs to discuss strategic cooperation between the two countries.

The talks focused on advancing bilateral and multilateral cooperation, as well as regional developments, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, the sides underlined the significance of the Azerbaijan–US partnership across multiple domains, including energy security, transport, communication, and regional stability. The ministers acknowledged the importance of enhancing bilateral ties in alignment with shared strategic interests.

Minister Bayramov briefed the American delegation on the current post-conflict regional landscape and outlined Azerbaijan’s perspective on the normalization process with Armenia. He addressed both the progress made and the challenges that continue to impede the peace process, reiterating Azerbaijan's commitment to achieving lasting regional stability.

The meeting also explored ongoing and future collaboration on key energy projects, including alternative energy initiatives. The parties reviewed opportunities for expanding cooperation in transport and infrastructure, as well as strengthening connectivity with Central Asian partners through strategic regional corridors.

A comprehensive exchange of views took place on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
