Azerbaijan, US discuss normalisation of ties with Armenia

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and US Department of State’s Senior Advisor for Caucasus Negotiations Philip Reeker have discussed normalisation of ties with Armenia.

Bilateral negotiations on elements of a peace treaty, including the Washington meeting, and the issues arising from this, the current situation on the restoration of routes and the delimitation process were discussed during the meeting, the Azerbaijani foreign ministry told APA.

Reeker, for his part, said that the US is ready to support the normalization process by all means.

He stressed the importance of negotiations on the elements of a peace treaty, the need to ensure regional peace and stability.

The sides also exchanged views on various aspects of the bilateral cooperation agenda and other issues of mutual interest.
