Azerbaijan welcomes Ukraine-Türkiye-Russia grain export agreement
Azerbaijan welcomes the agreements on the export of grain between Ukraine, Turkey, and Russia with the support of the UN.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry made the statement on Twitter on July 23, Caliber.Az informs.
“We welcome the signing of the grain export agreement and the successful mediation efforts of Turkey and the UN. This is an important step to ease global food insecurity. We look forward to the speedy implementation of the agreement,” the publication says.
On July 22 in Istanbul, with the support of UN Secretary General António Guterres, Ukraine, Türkiye and Russia agreed to promote safe shipping for the export of grain, related food products, and fertilizers (including ammonia) from the seaports of Odesa, Chornomorsk and Pivdennyi within 120 days with the possibility of extending this period.
