Azerbaijan, Yemen discuss establishing parliamentary friendship groups PHOTO
Sahiba Gafarova, Speaker of the Azerbaijani parliament, Milli Majlis, and Sultan Saeed Al-Barakani, Speaker of Yemen’s House of Representatives, discussed establishing parliamentary friendship groups during their meeting.
At the talks, Al-Barakani expressed appreciation for Azerbaijan’s moral and humanitarian assistance and shared views on cooperation between the two countries in various fields, including prospects for expanding interparliamentary relations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Milli Majlis.
The meeting highlighted the importance of parliamentary cooperation in further strengthening bilateral ties. It was noted that the establishment of reciprocal friendship groups within the legislatures of both countries would make a significant contribution to the development of relations.
Al-Barakani is visiting Azerbaijan to participate in the 20th Session of the Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
