Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister invites Hungarian counterpart for official visit
Azerbaijani Agriculture Minister Mejnun Mammadov met with Hungarian Agriculture Minister Istvan Nagy during his official visit to Hungary.
The ministers explored prospects for bilateral agricultural cooperation, with Mammadov underscoring the importance of expanding relations in agriculture, the Azerbaijani Agriculture Ministry told Caliber.Az.
He highlighted the Azerbaijani-Hungarian working group's role in fostering such ties.
Given the economic potential of both nations, Azerbaijan stressed the need to diversify trade relations and increase turnover. Mammadov extended an invitation to Nagy to visit Azerbaijan and witness ongoing large-scale restoration, reconstruction, and infrastructure development efforts in recently liberated historical lands (Karabakh and East Zangezur).
Mammadov also encouraged Hungarian entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in these areas, emphasizing Azerbaijan's collaboration with friendly countries for agricultural restoration and development.
Nagy affirmed Hungary's friendly relations with Azerbaijan and expressed keen interest in strengthening trade ties and expanding agricultural cooperation. He accepted Mammadov's invitation to visit Azerbaijan in the near future.
The meeting also covered various other mutual interests and concerns between the two countries.
