Azerbaijan's air defense units recently engaged in tactical exercises featuring live firing as part of their training agenda for 2024. The drills, which included the utilization of the "Igla-S" portable anti-aircraft missile system, aimed to enhance the combat readiness and proficiency of Azerbaijani army personnel.
Azerbaijan's Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az that the exercises were conducted in adherence to strict safety protocols, with personnel briefed on safety measures and the objectives of the training session prior to commencement.
During the drills, air defense unit personnel successfully demonstrated their ability to deploy the "Igla-S" system and effectively neutralize simulated air targets representing potential threats from hypothetical adversaries. The exercises served as a platform for honing tactical skills and testing the operational capabilities of the Azerbaijani air defense units.
