Azerbaijani ambassador presents credentials to Iraqi president PHOTO

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Iraq, Eldar Salimov, has presented his credentials to Iraqi President Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid.

The diplomat shared the news on his X account, Caliber.Az reports.

“Today, I had the honor to present my credentials to the President of the Republic of Iraq Mr. Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid. During the meeting, issues of bilateral and regional cooperation on the agenda between the two countries were discussed,” the ambassador wrote.

Salimov was appointed ambassador on October 27, 2025, by the decree of President Ilham Aliyev. He previously served as Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Jordan.
