Azerbaijani and Kazakh military chiefs mull deepening bilateral cooperation
A delegation led by First Deputy Defence Minister and Chief of General Staff of the Azerbaijani Army Col-Gen Karim Valiyev is continuing its official visit to Kazakhstan.
Col-Gen Karim Valiyev, along with Kazakhstan's First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of General Staff Lt-Gen Sultan Kamaletdinov, commenced their visit by honoring the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen at their memorial park in Almaty, where they laid a wreath at the monument, according to the Ministry of Defence, as reported by Caliber.Az.
The Azerbaijani delegation then proceeded to the Military History Museum of the Armed Forces of Kazakhstan. There, they received an extensive briefing on the museum's history and operations. Col-Gen Valiyev also made an entry in the museum’s Book of Honored Guests.
The visit continued at the Peacekeeping Operations Centre of the Ministry of Defence of Kazakhstan. The Azerbaijani delegation was given an overview of the center's infrastructure and training processes. A briefing was held on the center's history, objectives, and activities, which was followed by a meeting of the chiefs of General Staff.
During the meeting, both sides engaged in detailed discussions on the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation in the military, military-technical, and military-educational fields. The importance of intensifying the exchange of experience and deepening military relations was emphasized by both parties.
