Baku, Tashkent align on regional dynamics, global engagements
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and his Uzbek counterpart Bakhtiyor Saidov have held a telephone conversation to discuss the advancement of bilateral relations and strategic cooperation between the two countries.
During the call, the ministers exchanged views on the strategic alliance between Baku and Tashkent and reviewed the progress on the implementation of key agreements signed during Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s official visit to Azerbaijan on July 2, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
These agreements encompass a broad spectrum of bilateral and multilateral cooperation frameworks, reflecting the deepening partnership between the two nations.
The conversation also touched on the regional situation, with both sides underlining the importance of maintaining dialogue and coordination in light of shifting geopolitical dynamics in Central Asia and the South Caucasus.
In addition, the ministers discussed preparations for upcoming international events that will feature the participation of both Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
Bayramov and Saidov also exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
