Azerbaijani, Armenian offciials agree to continue parliamentary dialogue

Azerbaijan and Armenia have agreed to continue contacts at parliamentary level as part of ongoing efforts to maintain dialogue between the two countries.

Azerbaijani Parliamentary Speaker Sahiba Gafarova and her Armenian counterpart Alen Simonyan reached the understanding during a meeting on the sidelines of the 152nd Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, Caliber.Az reports per Armenian media.

According to a statement from the Armenian parliament, both sides noted recent steps aimed at strengthening peace and stability, including the development of trade ties. They also stressed the importance of continuing constructive engagement.

The talks were also attended by Inter-Parliamentary Union President Martin Chungong.
