Azerbaijani army chief observes Türkiye’s major military drill PHOTO

First Deputy Minister of Defence – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, paid an official visit to the Republic of Türkiye at the invitation of Chief of the General Staff of the Turkish Armed Forces, Army General Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu.

As part of the visit, Colonel General Valiyev met with his Turkish counterpart in Ankara. During the meeting, the sides discussed key issues concerning bilateral military cooperation and the further strengthening of strategic partnership between the armed forces of the two fraternal countries, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.

Colonel General Valiyev also took part in the Distinguished Visitors Day of the large-scale “Ateş Serbest-2025” (Free Fire-2025) exercise, which showcased the combat capabilities and interoperability of the Turkish Armed Forces.
