Azerbaijani army intercepts Armenian quadrocopter PHOTO

The Azerbaijan Army Units landed and intercepted DJI Mavic 3 quadrocopter belonging to the Armenian armed forces.

As Caliber.Az report per the press service of the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry, on August 1, at about 20:45, a DJI Mavic 3 quadrocopter belonging to the Armenian armed forces launched from the direction of the Digh settlement of the Gorus district and attempted to conduct flights over the positions of the Azerbaijan Army stationed in the direction of the Lachin district.

The ministry reported that the Azerbaijan Army Units landed and intercepted the quadrocopter by special technical means.

To recap, a similar incident was recorded at the start of July. The quadrocopters belonging to the Armenian armed forces attempted to conduct reconnaissance flights over the positions of the Azerbaijan Army Units stationed in the territories of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Lachin district, as well as the quadrocopter belonging to illegal Armenian armed detachments attempted to conduct reconnaissance flights over the positions of the Azerbaijan Army Units stationed in the direction of the Taghaverd village of the Khojavand district.

According to Azerbaijani data, there are currently nearly 10,000 members of the Armenian military in Karabakh, forming an illegal detachment of the neighbouring country's armed forces. Armenia took an obligation under the trilateral statement signed on November 10, 2020, to withdraw them, however, the issue is still pending due to Yerevan's inaction.

The illegal gangs have been seen multiple times supplying arms and personnel to their positions in Karabakh under the aegis of the temporary Russian peacekeeping contingent.

Their illegal actions led the Azerbaijani army to take local preventive measures which sometimes escalated into deadly hostilities.
