Azerbaijani Army positions in Nakhchivan subjected to fire
Positions of the Azerbaijani army in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were shelled by Armenian forces on August 28, according to Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defence.
"On August 28, around 06:45, Armenian armed forces fired upon Azerbaijani Army positions near Heydarabad in the Sadarak region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic from their positions in the Arazdeyen settlement of the Davali region," the ministry said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.
This incident follows a similar event on August 18, when Armenian forces reportedly shelled Azerbaijani positions in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. The attack occurred at approximately 19:30, targeting Azerbaijani positions near the Lakatagh settlement in the Julfa region.
In response to the August 18 attack, Azerbaijani forces swiftly retaliated. The Ministry of Defence confirmed that Azerbaijan Army Units took adequate retaliatory measures in the mentioned direction.
