The incident, occurring around 08:30 local time, saw Armenian units targeting Azerbaijan's military installations near the Kokhanabi settlement, situated in the Tovuz region, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry.
Reports indicate that the attack originated from Armenian positions near the Chinarli settlement, located within the Tovuzgala region. Utilizing small arms, the Armenian forces directed fire towards Azerbaijani Army positions, prompting an immediate response from Azerbaijan's military.
Responding swiftly to the provocation, Azerbaijani Army units took necessary retaliatory measures to defend their positions in the Kokhanabi direction. The exchange of fire underscores the ongoing tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia, particularly in the Tovuz region.
