Azerbaijani Army tests "Smerch" rocket power in precision fire exercises PHOTO/VIDEO

In line with the current year's training schedule, tactical exercises with live-fire drills were conducted involving the Azerbaijani Army’s Rocket and Artillery Forces and their “Smerch” multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) units.

The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan informed Caliber.Az of the successful operation.

According to the exercise plan, the MLRS unit was alerted by an “Alarm” signal, after which it departed its permanent deployment location and moved to a designated assembly area. The combat vehicles were prepared for engagement, and the “Smerch” MLRS unit proceeded to its firing position, successfully carrying out all assigned fire missions.

The primary objective of these tactical exercises with live ammunition is to enhance the combat readiness of personnel and improve the knowledge and skills of service members in accordance with the demands of modern warfare.
