UNESCO, Azerbaijan review partnership on cultural cooperation, sustainable development
The Director-General of UNESCO has met with Azerbaijan’s Minister of Culture, Adil Karimli, to discuss ongoing cooperation on culture, intercultural dialogue and sustainable development.
In a statement on X, the UNESCO chief said: “Pleased to meet with the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli. We discussed UNESCO’s cooperation with Azerbaijan, including the role of culture in strengthening intercultural dialogue, peace and sustainable development.”
The two sides reviewed areas of collaboration aimed at promoting cultural heritage, dialogue between communities and initiatives supporting long-term sustainable development through cultural engagement.
UNESCO said it “looks forward to continuing its cooperation with Azerbaijan to advance culture, dialogue and peace for the people.”
