Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has held talks with a delegation led by Baghdad Amreyev, President of the Turkic Investment Fund, focusing on expanding economic cooperation, regional connectivity, and major infrastructure projects. The discussions highlighted the strategic importance of initiatives such as the Middle Corridor, the Trans-Caspian transport route, and Azerbaijan’s growing role as a regional logistics hub.

The meeting involved an exchange of views on cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Turkic Investment Fund, the fund’s areas of activity, and prospective projects, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The sides emphasized that the Turkic Investment Fund, established on the initiative and with the active support of Azerbaijan, is of great importance for deepening economic integration among Turkic states, stimulating mutual investment, and promoting sustainable regional development. The role of Azerbaijan’s initiatives in strengthening regional connectivity, expanding transport and communication capacities, and developing economic cooperation was also highlighted.

In this context, information was presented on efforts to enhance the capacity of the Middle Corridor, develop the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, and strengthen Azerbaijan’s position as an important logistics and transport hub. Bayramov noted that the Alat International Trade Port and the infrastructure being developed around it serve to increase regional trade volumes and cargo transportation.

In addition, information was provided on work being carried out in the field of alternative energy. The sides stressed that more effective realization of the economic potential of Turkic states, promotion of mutually beneficial investment projects, and intensification of joint efforts in transport, energy, and infrastructure would contribute to strengthening prosperity and make a significant contribution to sustainable regional development.
