Azerbaijani President Aliyev invited to Germany, ambassador says

President Ilham Aliyev has been invited to visit Germany, Ralf Horlemann, German Ambassador to Azerbaijan, has said, adding that he hopes the visit will take place this year.

During a farewell meeting with journalists, he said: “President Aliyev has an invitation to Germany. We hope he will visit Germany in the foreseeable future. There is no specific date yet, but we expect to host him on an official visit this year,” Caliber.Az reports, citing local media.

The noted that annual political consultations between the two countries have already taken place.

According to him, in 2027, alongside political consultations, the high-level working group on trade and investment between Azerbaijan and Germany will continue its work.
