Slovakia signals “fully open” approach to cooperation with Azerbaijan
Slovakia’s State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and EU Affairs, Marek Eštok, has stated that his country is fully open to cooperation with Azerbaijan.
In a post on X, following his meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov in Baku, he said Slovakia is interested in expanding bilateral ties with Azerbaijan, particularly in the fields of energy and transport, Caliber.Az reports.

The diplomat thanked Bayramov for what he described as a productive meeting, highlighting the importance of their first talks in Bratislava in December last year and the memorandum of understanding on consular cooperation that was signed.
He also welcomed the opportunity to discuss the strategic partnership between Slovakia and Azerbaijan and reaffirmed both sides’ commitment to further strengthening bilateral relations.
“We are preparing further high-level visits, doors are fully opened to expanding cooperation in transport, business, smart solutions, energy, culture, and education,” he noted.
