Azerbaijani, Belarusian military medics hold talks on expanding cooperation PHOTO
A delegation from the Ministry of Defence of Belarus visited Azerbaijan this week for a bilateral meeting focused on deepening cooperation in the field of military medicine, according to a statement from the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence.
The meeting, titled “Cooperation in the Field of Military Medicine,” brought together representatives from the medical services of both countries' defence ministries, Caliber.Az reports.
Held in Baku, the talks included a comprehensive briefing for the Belarusian delegation on the structure and operation of Azerbaijan’s military medical service, including its systems for providing healthcare to military personnel.
During their visit, the Belarusian officials toured several key medical and training facilities under the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence. These included the Main Clinical Hospital, the Central Military Polyclinic, the Central Dental Polyclinic, and the Military Medical Faculty. The delegation also visited the Forensic Medical Examination and Pathological Anatomy Centre, as well as the recreation house of the Ministry.
The two sides engaged in an in-depth exchange of views, exploring avenues for collaboration in military medical training, institutional support, emergency medical response, and other areas of shared interest. Both parties emphasised the importance of continuing dialogue and building institutional partnerships to enhance medical readiness and capability within their respective armed forces.
