Azerbaijani citizens living in Georgia actively vote in snap presidential elections
A high voter turnout is observed at the polling station created at the Azerbaijani embassy in Georgia due to the snap presidential elections.
Azerbaijani citizens temporarily residing, working and studying in Georgia are actively voting, Caliber.Az reports.
Azerbaijani ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev said that as of 12:00 (GMT+4), 32 per cent of voters cast their votes.
The ambassador added that despite bad weather conditions, besides Tbilisi, Azerbaijani citizens who work, go on business trips and study in Akhalkalaki, Sagarejo and other regions of Georgia also actively vote. In total, more than 1,000 Azerbaijani citizens are expected to vote. The voting will end at 19:00 (GMT+4).
The snap presidential elections are being held in Azerbaijan on February 7.
