Azerbaijani Constitutional Court chairman highlights key issues in Armenia-Azerbaijan peace talks
Farhad Abdullayev, Chairman of the Constitutional Court of Azerbaijan, has underscored that there are still several unresolved issues in the normalization process between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
Abdullayev made the remarks in an article marking the 26th anniversary of the Constitutional Court’s establishment, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
In his article, Abdullayev reflects on Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s statements from June 6, 2024, during a meeting with the TURKPA delegation.
"President Aliyev highlighted a significant barrier to achieving a peace treaty between the two countries: the current Constitution of Armenia".
“It is simply impossible to conclude a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan while the current constitution of Armenia remains unchanged,” President Aliyev said at the meeting.
