Azerbaijani defence minister extends Victory Day congratulations to Turkish counterpart

On August 30, Azerbaijani Defence Minister Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and Turkish National Defence Minister Yashar Guler engaged in a telephone conversation.

Hasanov extended his congratulations to Guler on the occasion of Victory Day and the Day of the Armed Forces of Türkiye, Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.

During their discussion, they explored opportunities for furthering bilateral cooperation, regional security, and various issues of mutual interest.

In related news, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Jahit Bagci reaffirmed Türkiye's commitment to celebrating Victory Days alongside Azerbaijan. Speaking during his visit to the Turkish Shehid Memorial in Baku on August 30, Bagci emphasized the importance of honouring both Turkish and Azerbaijani martyrs who sacrificed their lives for their countries.
