Azerbaijani Defence Minister orders to immediately and decisively suppress all provocations of Armenia Meeting at Central Command Post

A service meeting was held at the Central Command Post under the leadership of the Minister of Defense, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov on September 24.

The meeting was attended by deputy ministers, commanders of types of troops, heads of main departments, departments and services of the ministry, Caliber.Az reports with reference to the Ministry of Defence.

The commanders of military formations and formations stationed in the liberated territories were involved in the work of the meeting via video link.  

First, a minute of silence was honored in memory of the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the martyrs who gave their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of our country.

The Minister of Defence brought to the attention of the participants of the meeting the tasks set by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev to the Azerbaijan Army.

The Minister emphasized that the Supreme Commander highly appreciates the decisive retaliatory measures taken by the Azerbaijani Army in order to prevent large-scale provocations by the Armenian armed forces on September 12-14, 2022.

It was noted that the successful, well-coordinated retaliatory measures taken by units of various types of troops at night simultaneously in several directions in difficult mountainous terrain became another innovation of the Azerbaijan Army, introduced into military science. These battles will be studied and analyzed by the world's leading military experts.

The meeting analyzed the current operational situation in the Kalbajar and Lachin directions, as well as in the territories of the temporary deployment of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.

The minister gave specific instructions to increase the vigilance of the personnel, to immediately and decisively suppress any kind of provocation that may be committed by the armed forces of Armenia.

Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov instructed the relevant persons to complete the planned work to prepare for winter and deliver the necessary supplies to units, especially those deployed in mountainous areas.

The Minister of Defence noted the importance of the soonest completion, in cooperation with other state bodies, of the measures entrusted by the Supreme Commander-in-Chief to organize the service and combat activities of our units in new deployment points.

The minister stressed the important role of work to improve the service and living conditions in the troops in maintaining the combat and morale-psychological readiness of the servicemen
at a high level.

Then, Colonel-General Zakir Hasanov instructed to pay close attention to martyr families and servicemen who lost their health, to show special sensitivity to their needs.

In conclusion, the officials were given specific tasks to organize the service of the troops and ideological work, improve the service and social conditions of the personnel, medical support and continue engineering work in the liberated territories.
