The Azerbaijani Defence Ministry has successfully completed a series of practical exercises with a group of reservists, working in partnership with the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription as part of its ongoing training programme.
Following the established training schedule, the reservists participated in a series of classes, the next of which took place in field conditions, allowing them to simulate real-world scenarios, the Azerbaijani Defence Ministry told Caliber.Az.
At the training centre, the reservists honed their skills by practicing the disassembly and reassembly of small arms commonly used by Azerbaijan Army units. This exercise aimed to ensure that the reservists are familiar with the equipment and able to perform maintenance tasks under pressure.
The training then moved on to first aid procedures, where the reservists were instructed in vital emergency response techniques. Additionally, they practiced methods for evacuating the wounded from the battlefield, a critical skill in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of military operations. In the following phase of the training, the reservists participated in practical shooting exercises, using a variety of small arms and grenade launchers.
This hands-on experience aimed to refine their marksmanship and handling of advanced weaponry. The session was designed to enhance the reservists' understanding of modern weapons and military vehicles recently introduced into the Azerbaijan Army’s arsenal. By focusing on the tactical and technical characteristics of these new assets, the reservists deepened their knowledge and skills, preparing them for more complex and dynamic combat situations.
