Azerbaijani delegation attends 9th Caspian Media Forum in Astrakhan PHOTO

An Azerbaijani delegation has actively participated in the 9th Caspian Media Forum, held in Astrakhan, Russia.

The forum is a pivotal event focused on fostering a unified media environment across the Caspian region, Caliber.Az reports per Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan.

As part of the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation paid homage at significant landmarks, including the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev and the “Eternal Flame of Glory” memorial in the Brotherhood Garden, laying flowers as a mark of respect.

Themed "The Dialogue of Cultures as the Basis for the Caspian Development", the forum aims to build a cohesive media landscape, combat misinformation, and enhance mutual understanding and cooperation among the region’s diverse cultures through constructive dialogue.

Natig Mammadli, Deputy Executive Director of the Media Development Agency of Azerbaijan, highlighted the forum's significance in bridging cultural gaps and advancing media cooperation. He also addressed the challenge of misinformation exacerbated by artificial intelligence and underscored the relevance of the second Shusha Global Media Forum, which will tackle the issue of global media transparency.

The 9th Caspian Media Forum is set to continue with plenary sessions, further exploring its central themes and objectives.
