Within the framework of the Azerbaijani official's visit to Israel, Rzayev is also slated to speak at the Tel Aviv University at an event dedicated to Israeli-Azerbaijani relations on May 24, Report informs.

The event will discuss the results of the Second Karabakh War and the prospects for expanding cooperation and strategic partnership between the two countries.

Among the participants are also Azerbaijani Ambassador to Israel Mukhtar Mammadov, Tel Aviv University professor Eitan Yanarojag and Dr Brandon Friedman, research director Moshe Dayan Centre for Middle East and African Studies at Tel Aviv University, where the event will be held.

The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Israel in January-February 2023 amounted to $334.1 million, which is 26.36 per cent more than in the same period last year.

Azerbaijan and Israel have engaged in close cooperation since 1992. The opening of the Azerbaijani embassy in Israel’s Tel Aviv has skyrocketed the already strong ties between the two countries.

The sides often hold mutual visits and bilateral events such as the Azerbaijan-Israel intergovernmental commission held in Baku on April 19.
