Azerbaijani deputy PM meets with Iranian energy minister
Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev met with Iranian Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian on July 6.
During the meeting, the parties highlighted the existence of a high-level political dialogue between the two countries, recalled the importance of the meeting held on June 29 in Ashgabat between Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Iranian President Seyed Ebrahim Raisi, Report informs.
Mustafayev and Mehrabian underlined the successful cooperation between Azerbaijan and Iran in various areas, especially in trade, economic, transport, energy, and cultural spheres.
In addition, the officials shared views on the progress in the construction of the Khudaferin and Giz Galasi hydroelectric facilities and hydroelectric power stations on the Araz River bordering the two countries.
The parties also discussed the prospects for expanding cooperation in various fields.
