15 February 2023 09:14

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Russia, Polad Bulbuloglu, and Counselors-Envoys of the Embassy Ismayil Asadov and Akshin Aliyev visited on February 14 the Turkish Embassy in Russia.

According to Caliber.Az, Bulbuloglu expressed his condolences to the people of Türkiye in connection with the earthquake that took place on February 6 and wished a speedy recovery to the victims.

The ambassador said from the first minutes of the tragedy, upon the instructions of President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-President Mehriban Aliyeva, all necessary assistance was sent to the earthquake areas and to the people living there, which continues to this day. The people of Azerbaijan mobilized to provide all possible support to the areas and people affected by the earthquake, according to him.

Bulbuloglu added that the Azerbaijanis living in Russia also showed solidarity and, using their opportunities, provided humanitarian and financial assistance to Türkiye, and employees of the Azerbaijani embassy also joined the goodwill mission.

Turkish Ambassador to Russia Mehmet Samsar expressed his deep gratitude to Ambassador Bulbuloglu, embassy staff, and every Azerbaijani for their support.

He said on these difficult days, numerous Azerbaijanis came to the Turkish Embassy in Russia to express their support. The tragedy proved that the slogan of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev "One nation, two states" has once again been translated from words into action.
