Azerbaijani embassy leads Ramadan solidarity campaign with OIC member states in Croatia PHOTO 

The Embassy of Azerbaijan, alongside the embassies of the member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Islamic Community of Croatia, participated in a solidarity campaign to support families in need during the month of Ramadan.

The initiative is aimed at providing essential food aid to low-income families to help ease their challenges during the holy month of fasting, Caliber.Az reports via local media. 

The collaborative effort highlights the spirit of unity and support within the Muslim community, ensuring that those who are less fortunate can still participate in the religious observances and celebrations of Ramadan. 

Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic lunar calendar and is considered one of the holiest months for Muslims worldwide. It is a time of fasting, prayer, reflection, and community. Muslims believe that during Ramadan, the Quran was first revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.

Fasting during Ramadan is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, and adherents refrain from food, drink, smoking  from dawn until sunset. The fast is seen as a means of purifying the body and soul, fostering empathy for the less fortunate, and strengthening one's connection with God.
