Azerbaijani envoy discusses cooperation development with OIC chief
Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Shahin Abdullayev, discussed prospects for cooperation in various fields with the Secretary-General of the organization, Hissein Brahim Taha.
"Taha received the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the OIC, Ambassador Shahin Abdullayev, at his office at the General Secretariat headquarters today, January 27, 2025," Caliber.Az reports, citing the organisation’s press service.
According to the press statement, the parties highly valued the level of relations between the OIC and Baku and discussed prospects for cooperation in various areas.
"The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for Azerbaijan's support of the OIC's activities. The parties also discussed a number of issues on the organisation's agenda," the press service added.
It is crucial to recall that Azerbaijan has been an active and influential member of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) since joining in 1991. Over the years, the relationship between Azerbaijan and the OIC has deepened through various collaborative efforts and mutual support.
