Azerbaijani envoy, Japanese FM discuss deepening of bilateral relations
On February 12, Japanese State Minister for Foreign Affairs Hisayuki Fujii received Azerbaijani Ambassador to Tokyo Gursel Ismayilzada.
During the meeting, State Minister Fujii expressed his condolences in connection with the AZAL plane crash that occurred at the end of last year, as well as offered his condolences to the families of the victims, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Japanese Foreign Ministry website.
The state minister noted the growing interest in cooperation between the two countries in the field of decarbonisation and expressed hope for Azerbaijan's participation in Expo-2025.
Ambassador Ismayilzada mentioned economic ties between the two countries and expressed readiness to further deepen relations between Japan and Azerbaijan.
They also discussed the international situation, including developments in the South Caucasus region, and cooperation in the world arena.
