Azerbaijani envoy meets new ECO chief in Tehran to bolster ties

Azerbaijan's ambassador to Iran and the country's permanent representative to the Economic Cooperation Organisation (ECO) Ali Alizada met with the new Secretary-General, Assad Majid Khan, in Tehran.

"Pleased to meet with the new Secretary General of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO), dear Dr. Asad M. Khan. Exchanged views on further strengthening the role of the ECO and continuing Azerbaijan’s active cooperation and contribution within the organization. Congratulated and wished success to the new SG on his endeavors," Caliber.Az reports, quoting the diplomat’s tweet.

Alizada also extended his best wishes to the new secretary general for success in his future work.
