Azerbaijani envoy urges punishment for those behind embassy attack

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iran Ali Alizadeh called for punishing all those responsible for the armed attack on the embassy in Tehran.

The ambassador made the remarks on his Facebook account, Report informs.

"We strongly condemn this brutal terrorist act and demand full punishment of the perpetrators. Diplomatic missions are inviolable and their protection must be fully ensured by the host State!", the ambassador noted. 

Alizadeh expressed his deepest condolences to killed security officer Orkhan Asgarov's relatives and friends on behalf of himself and the staff of the diplomatic mission, also wishing a speedy recovery to the wounded.

"As a result of an armed attack on our embassy, our valuable employee Orkhan Asgarov was killed, and two of our employees were injured," the diplomat said.
