Azerbaijani, Estonian customs services to exchange experience

The Azerbaijani and Estonian customs services have reached a preliminary agreement to learn and exchange experience.

The agreement was reached during the meeting of the delegation headed by First Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee, Acting Chairman Shahin Baghirov and Director General of the Estonian Tax and Customs Board Raigo Uukkivi within the "Zakat, Tax and Customs Conference", organised by the General Authority of Zakat and Tax of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, Report informs referring to the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.

The existing ties between the customs services of the two countries were stressed, mutually beneficial projects were discussed during the meeting.

Moreover, the achievements of the Estonian Tax and Customs Board in applying information technologies were addressed.

The importance of the possible activity of the Permanent Representative of the Estonian Tax and Customs Board in the Regional Office for Capacity Building for the World Customs Organisation (WCO) Europe Region, located in Baku, was also emphasised.

The views on further strengthening cooperation were thoroughly exchanged.
