Azerbaijani FM briefs incoming Colombian ambassador on Armenian provocations

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the newly appointed Colombian Ambassador to the country Luis Fernando Cuartas Ayala.

At the meeting, Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his work, Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.

The sides noted the importance of the development of bilateral relations, the application of the mechanism of political consultations, the usefulness of mutual visits, and the need to expand inter-parliamentary ties, stressed the importance of further strengthening cooperation in the spheres of education and tourism.

Jeyhun Bayramov informed the interlocutor in detail about the almost 30-year occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia, its illegal activities in our lands, the policy of ethnic cleansing, Azerbaijan's peacekeeping efforts in the post-conflict period, and Armenian provocations that hinder the process.

At the meeting, the sides exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
