Azerbaijani FM fills US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in on current regional situation
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with US Deputy Assistant Secretary at Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Joshua Huck.
The meeting saw discussions on cooperation between Azerbaijan and the United States, as well as the regional situation in the post-conflict period and the prospects for the normalization process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azertac.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov highlighted the current situation in the region during the post-conflict period, and stressed the importance of putting an end to the presence of illegal Armenian armed forces and separatist regime, which remained from the 30-year-long occupation posing a major source of threat, as a result of anti-terrorist measures carried out by Azerbaijan.
The Azerbaijani foreign minister also touched upon the signing of the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as the process of reintegration of Armenian residents living in the Karabakh region.
Speaking about Azerbaijan's determination to advance the peace agenda, Jeyhun Bayramov highlighted the importance of the constructive position of the international community in this regard.
