Azerbaijani FM hails Kazakhstan's role in Turkic World Week
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has hailed Kazakhstan's role in Turkic World Week as he held a telephone conversation with his Kazakh counterpart Yermek Kosherbayev to discuss the strategic partnership between the two countries and prospects for expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
The FMs reviewed key issues on the bilateral agenda, including the current state of Azerbaijan-Kazakhstan relations and opportunities to further deepen cooperation, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry.
Bayramov and Kosherbayev reaffirmed the importance of mutual support within international and regional organizations and stressed the need to maintain close coordination on multilateral platforms. They also exchanged views on upcoming initiatives related to Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).
During the conversation, FM Bayramov welcomed Kazakhstan's participation in Turkic World Week, held to mark the 100th anniversary of the First Turkology Congress in Azerbaijan. He emphasized the importance of the event in promoting the shared history, culture and spiritual heritage of the Turkic world, as well as in strengthening solidarity among Turkic nations.
The two ministers also exchanged views on other regional and international issues of mutual interest.
