Azerbaijani FM honors Palestinian envoy with "Dostlug" Order in farewell meeting PHOTO
On March 17, 2025, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov met with Palestinian Ambassador Nasir Abdulkarim Abdurrahman, who was concluding his diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan.
According to a statement from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, Bayramov expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for his effective diplomatic work and significant contributions to strengthening Azerbaijani-Palestinian relations, Caliber.Az reports.
He wished Abdurrahman success in his future endeavours.
During the meeting, Bayramov congratulated the Ambassador on being awarded the “Dostlug” Order by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The Foreign Minister presented the prestigious order to Abdurrahman as a recognition of his work.
The two officials discussed bilateral and multilateral cooperation between Azerbaijan and Palestine, as well as regional issues. They highlighted their collaboration in political, cultural, humanitarian, and other fields, noting the mutual support within international and regional organizations.
Bayramov reiterated Azerbaijan’s support for resolving the Palestinian issue based on international law and United Nations Security Council resolutions, with a focus on the “two-state solution.” He also stressed the importance of addressing the humanitarian situation in Gaza and maintaining the ceasefire.
Ambassador Abdurrahman expressed his gratitude for the “Dostlug” Order and the support extended to him throughout his mission in Azerbaijan.
