Azerbaijani FM's Moscow trip likely in July, Russian envoy says

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov is expected to visit Moscow in July, Russian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Mikhail Yevdokimov said.

Yevdokimov said discussions are currently underway to finalize the date of FM Bayramov’s visit to Moscow, Caliber.Az reports via local media.

“At present, the process of agreeing on the date of Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov’s visit to Moscow is underway. The particular challenge is that both ministers — Bayramov and Sergey Lavrov — have extremely busy work schedules, therefore the visit will most likely take place in July. At the moment, the exact date is being clarified,” the ambassador stated.

Yevdokimov also noted that Azerbaijan is preparing to host the international defence exhibition ADEX in September, adding that participation by Russia’s defence minister remains possible.

The 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition is scheduled to take place in Baku from September 30 to October 2, 2026.
