Azerbaijani FM urges Tehran to complete inquiry into Nakhchivan attacks

Azerbaijan’s Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov spoke by phone with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, emphasising the importance of completing investigations by Iran as promised following drone attacks on the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

The discussion also covered the regional situation and bilateral relations, Caliber.Az reports, citing the foreign ministry.

During the talks, it was noted that Azerbaijan opposes strikes on civilian targets during military operations, calls for the immediate de-escalation of the situation in the region, and supports resolving existing issues through negotiations.

The ministers also exchanged views on other matters of mutual interest.
