Azerbaijani foreign minister heads to Serbia for working visit
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has embarked on a working visit to Serbia.
As part of the visit, Minister Bayramov is scheduled to hold meetings with high-ranking officials in Serbia, Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.
The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
Prior to his visit to Serbia, FM Bayramov attended the Munich Security Conference, where he held a number of high-level meetings to discuss bilateral relations, regional security and peace process progress with Armenia.
The Munich Security Conference, which has begun amidst significant geopolitical developments, has drawn attention due to several key events, including the arrival of a new US administration, the start of a new European legislative cycle, and Germany’s forthcoming parliamentary elections.
Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier officially opened the conference, with discussions chaired by Christoph Heusgen. Topics under deliberation include global governance, democratic resilience, climate security, regional conflicts, and the future of transatlantic relations, with a special focus on Europe's role in the global arena.
In addition to the main conference, around 200 side events and public outreach activities have been organized. One noteworthy event was the 4th No Money for Terror Ministerial Conference on Counter-Terrorism Financing, led by German Finance Minister Jörg Kukies, which took place just ahead of the primary discussions.
