Azerbaijani foreign minister meets Russian envoy to discuss peace process with Armenia
On June 25, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received Igor Khovayev, the special representative of the Russian Foreign Minister for the normalization of Azerbaijani-Armenian relations.
The meeting covered bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Russia, regional platform activities, the current state and prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and the overall situation in the region, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Foreign Ministry.
Jeyhun Bayramov updated Igor Khovayev on the negotiations regarding the draft peace treaty between Azerbaijan and Armenia. He emphasized that the territorial claims against Azerbaijan, which remain in Armenia's constitution and other legislative acts, are the main obstacle to the peace process.
