Azerbaijani foreign minister welcomes incoming EU ambassador
Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Marijana Kujundžić, the newly appointed European Union Ambassador to Azerbaijan, to explore the diplomatic engagement between the two parties.
FM Bayramov extended his congratulations to Kujundžić on her appointment and wished her success in advancing EU-Azerbaijan relations, Caliber.Az reports, citing Azerbaijan’s Foreign Ministry.
The meeting encompassed a comprehensive discussion on various facets of bilateral cooperation, including political, economic, energy, transport, and humanitarian sectors.
The parties underscored the critical importance of joint energy projects and acknowledged the necessity to deepen collaboration across other strategic domains. Bayramov provided Kujundžić with a detailed briefing on the current regional landscape in the post-conflict period, highlighting Azerbaijan’s active promotion of a peace agenda. He elaborated on key milestones such as the agreements reached during the Washington meeting, the initialing of the peace agreement, and the decision to dissolve the OSCE Minsk Group process.
Expressing her appreciation for the warm reception, Marijana Kujundžić affirmed her commitment to vigorously advancing the Azerbaijan-EU agenda, emphasizing the importance of continued partnership and cooperation.
