Azerbaijani-French inter-parliamentary working group suspends activity in tit-for-tat move
The working group of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis (parliament) on Azerbaijani-French inter-parliamentary relations has suspended its activity.
The working group expressed regret over the cessation of the French-Azerbaijani friendship group's activities and relations with the working group in the National Assembly of the French Republic, APA reports.
The working group on Azerbaijani-French inter-parliamentary relations, taking into account the above information, temporarily suspends its activity and ties with the French-Azerbaijani friendship group until France takes appropriate steps, the message says.
Earlier, the head of the friendship group, French MP Pierre Vatin said that the France-Azerbaijan Parliamentary Friendship Group suspended its activity.
"The France-Azerbaijan parliamentary friendship group that I chair at the National Assembly suspends its activities and relations with the Azerbaijan-France friendship group of the Azerbaijani parliament," Caliber.Az quoted him as saying on his X social media platform.
