Azerbaijani initiatives adopted by global social security body in Geneva
Proposals put forward by Azerbaijan have been included in the Action Plan of the International Social Security Association (ISSA) for the 2026–2028 period.
The initiatives were presented at the 133rd ISSA Bureau Meeting held in Geneva, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
Chairman of the Board of the Azerbaijan State Social Protection Fund (SSPF) Zafar Mirzayev presented a number of proposals aimed at improving the association’s activities. These proposals were approved and unanimously incorporated into the organization’s Action Plan for 2026–2028.
The meeting also addressed issues related to the development of bilateral cooperation, the improvement of ISSA’s operations, and the implementation of joint projects between member institutions.
The International Social Security Association (ISSA) is a leading global organization that brings together government agencies and institutions in the field of social protection. Founded in 1927, ISSA has more than 340 member organizations from 165 countries. Its headquarters are located in Geneva, Switzerland, within the International Labor Office building. The organization aims to improve social security systems, exchange best practices, and promote advanced administrative standards.
