The two officials also discussed opportunities for further cooperation within regional and international organisations. During the talks, both sides highlighted the importance of fostering closer ties between research and think tanks in Iran and Azerbaijan, noting that such collaboration could provide a significant boost to the development of bilateral relations.
In addition to the discussions on bilateral cooperation, Rafiyev and Khatibzadeh, who is also the head of the Institute for Political and International Studies, exchanged views on regional and global issues, emphasising the need for continued dialogue and cooperation to address mutual interests. The meeting underscored both countries' commitment to strengthening their partnership in various sectors and contributing to regional stability.
