Azerbaijani, Israeli top diplomats mull bilateral relations, regional issues

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and Yakov Blitstein, the Director General of the Israeli Foreign Ministry, held a meeting to explore a range of bilateral and multilateral issues.

The discussion covered various areas of cooperation, including economics, security, high technology, education, tourism, energy, and transport, Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told Caliber.Az.

In addition to these topics, the two officials addressed the ongoing situation in Gaza.

Bayramov provided an update on the current regional dynamics, focusing on the post-conflict period and the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

The meeting also highlighted the potential for deepening Azerbaijani-Israeli cooperation, particularly in light of Azerbaijan's upcoming role as chair of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29). This position offers a new platform for collaboration between the two nations.

Furthermore, the officials exchanged views on other significant international and regional issues, reflecting a comprehensive dialogue on matters of mutual interest.
