Azerbaijani, Latvian FMs discuss stress importance of dialogue in Mideast
A telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, Baiba Braže.
During the call, the ministers discussed the current military escalation and rising tensions in the Middle East. They noted that further escalation of the situation poses risks to security across a wider region and emphasised the importance of resolving conflicts through diplomatic means and dialogue, Caliber.Az reports via the ministry.
The sides also reviewed the current state of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Latvia, as well as prospects for their development. They welcomed the opportunities to intensify political dialogue, increase high-level mutual visits, and expand cooperation in various fields.
In addition, the ministers exchanged views on other regional security issues.
