Azerbaijani lawyers attend celebrations of Kyrgyz Bar Association's 100th anniversary
A delegation from the Azerbaijani Bar Association (ABA) paid an official visit to Kyrgyzstan to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the country's Bar Association.
ABA Deputy Chairman Aydin Akhundov and Presidium member Mukhtar Mustafayev participated in various events in the capital Bishkek, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
During a ceremony at the Kyrgyz State Philharmonic, officials extended their congratulations, and a documentary titled "History of the Kyrgyz Bar Association" was screened.
As part of the visit, the delegation attended a reception at the official presidential residence Ala-Archa, where Aydin Akhundov emphasized the importance of cooperation between the legal communities of both nations. Mukhtar Mustafayev highlighted the significance of such events in enhancing lawyers’ professionalism and facilitating international knowledge exchange.
A commemorative journal was published for the occasion, featuring a congratulatory message from ABA Chairman Anar Bagirov. He underscored the legal profession’s role in a just society and highlighted the strong historical ties between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan, referencing a Memorandum of Understanding between their Bar Associations. The event concluded with the presentation of awards and gifts to the host.
